The best resources to learn new languages

My name is Mohammed, I've always loved English and wanted to improve my skills. One day, I came across this app that allows people to place free calls to the US and Canada. I downloaded it and started placing random calls, I just called restaurants and companies to ask about their services. At first, it was really hard to understand the American accent but one by one I started getting over it and feel that I have more ability to start conversations with native speakers. In 2016 -2017, I was selected to be a participant in a non-profit organization that took place in San Diego and I had to stay with two different American host families where I could practice more and also made more friends.

When I got in college, I started visiting the LRC. What I liked about it is how the staff are really connected with each other and also they really make their best to provide students with the best resources to learn new languages. The LRC gave me the opportunity to teach an American Arabic which was very satisfying to me. Now I feel I'm a part of the team and I feel that this is the place where I can share my experience in learning and help people learn more.
