LRC's local volunteers had a warm Palestinian breakfast with the international ones in order to engage them in their culture & traditions. It was an extracurricular activity that talked about the Middle East via food, as there were some kinds of different countries.

The volunteers are from UK, Turkey and Palestine, the breakfast includes tea (with specific herbs that give its flavor), some pastries (thyme and cheese that Palestine is known for), shawarma with salads, cakes (cookies stuffed with date and petit fours), falafel & hummus, and a Syrian dish. It was an interesting experience, how people can know other cultures through food. The volunteers were asking about almost every dish and its contents to know the identity of any country which is so lovely. Finally, the meeting ended with talking about this activity where they also told us about their food and culture and they were so delighted!
