A group of 20 school students from the American school has visited the LRC on Wednesday, March 6th 2019.
The aim of this visit was to discover the new campus of the university, and the LRC as well.
The director of the LRC, Mrs Louha SAMAANEH has welcomed the group and the staff and introduced the LRC, its mission, sevices and activities.
The guests were integrated in small groups with the university's students and international volunteers, exchanging in English, about different topics like hobbies, travel, memories, movies, books, languages...
At the end of the meeting, the school students were very happy with this experience and thanked the LRC for this opportunity.
واستقبلت الطلبة الأستاذة لهى سماعنة، مديرة مركز الموارد التعليمية للغات، حيث عرَّفتهم على مرافق المركز ورؤيته والخدمات التي يقدّمها لطلبة الجامعة والمجتمع ككل.
وتضمنت الزيارة حلقات نقاش باللغة الإنجليزية مع متطوعين أجانب ومتطوعين من طلبة الجامعة، وتحدثوا عن مواضيع مختلفة مثل الهوايات، والسفر، وتجارب تعلم اللغات، وذكريات الطفولة، ووصف فيلم تمّ مشاهدته، أو كتاب تمّ قراءته.
وأعرب الطلبة عن سعادتهم بهذا اللقاء ورغبتهم في تكرار هكذا نشاطات، كما شكرت مديرة المدرسة القائمين على المركز لاستقبالهم لهم.
يُذكر أن مركز الموارد التعليمية للغات يُقدم خدمات متنوعة لتشجيع تعلم اللغات الأجنبية، ونشر الوعي بأهميتها في كافّة المجالات من سفر وتقديم للمنح ودراسة في الخارج، ويطرح دورات عدة لمستويات مختلفة في أكثر من ثماني لغات أجنبية.
