On Monday, May 8th 2017, the Language Resource Center ​​concluded an English language course for university workers with an honoring ceremony held in the halls of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching on the new campus.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Sabri Nasser, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Mrs. Louha Samaaneh, director of the Language Resource Center, and Ms. Christen Phaneuf, the course trainer from the department of International Relations at the university, in addition to the employees participating in the course from the various faculties and departments of the university.

 

This course is organized by the LRC  in cooperation with the human resources department and the department of international relations, with the participation of 33 university employees from various colleges and departments.

 

Dr. Nasser opened the ceremony with a speech in which he thanked the Language Resource Center, the department of human resources and the department of international relations for their efforts in holding the course, stressing that the administrative success of An-Najah University depends on the competence of its administrative cadres, indicating that such courses would enhance the efficiency of the university cadres.

 

In her turn, Mrs. Samaaneh gave a presentation through which she introduced the LRC , its mission, vision, goals, and the most important courses it offers for many languages ​​such as English, German, Hebrew, Turkish, and Japanese. She also talked about the most important activities held by the center, which include cultural and sports activities, the center's volunteers, and the role they play. At the same time, she commended the employees participating in the course for their commitment and for taking the course very seriously.

 

The discussion was also opened with the workers participating in the course, who emphasized the importance of this course in improving their English language, calling for more English language courses in the future and in more specialized aspects, and some of them requested that there be courses in other languages ​​for the university workers. .

 

At the end of the ceremony, the course trainer was honored, certificates were distributed to the course participants, and a group photo was taken.
